PLAYERS

The lovely and talented Pam Beery, who plays keyboards and flute, and also provides lead and backup vocals. When not playing the role of Wendy for the three Lost Boys in the band, Pam is a reading literacy teacher and Central Ohio Symphony flautist (note that flute players become flautists when they have to dress up for the gig). Pam's keen ear, melodious voice, infectious laugh, and tolerance for bad puns make her a band and crowd favorite.
The talented and lovely, er, ruggedly handsome Jack Burgess plays exceptional acoustic guitar and bass (both the instruments and the playing are exceptional). His unique vocal virtuosity blends blissfully with the other singers, and he is also a stand-out soloist on songs ranging from the Kingston Trio's traditional standard 'Scotch and Soda' to the Who's classic masterpiece 'Behind Blue Eyes'. Jack has been blessed with a 'phonographic' memory and can play almost any song known to man (and even one taught to him by an acoustically gifted lemming). Jack works for the State of Ohio, but we still like him.
Kevin Carrico, lead and background vocals and percussion, is the youngest member of the quartet, but has the oldest musical tastes of the band. His love of 40's and 50's jazz standards has broadened Rusty Strings' repertoire beyond that of regular acoustic set lists to include tunes such as 'All of Me' and others. Kevin's renderings classic tunes by Roy Orbison and the Beatles are not to be missed (in fact, as a group, we haven't missed one of them yet!). Kevin works for a private research firm. One of his company's commercial successes was dehydrated water. You just add water, stir, and you have water!
Bob Claymier, guitar, is the 'rustiest' of the Strings in terms of both age and talent (there is a reason the other band members pay him not to sing!) However, Bob is able to maintain his foothold in the group by 1) keeping all the band's gear at his house 2) providing whisps of wisecracking witticisms at inopportune moments, and 3) using methods of extortion and blackmail unsuitable to be discussed on a website that can be easily accessed by small children. In his other life, Bob is an overpaid, underperforming educator in an otherwise creditable public school system.

Rusty Strings is THE band you need to make your social event complete. We are currently taking bookings for clubs, private parties, weddings, reunions, public hangings, and belly button lint festivals. We're always looking for a good time and want to help your group have one as well.
